DoorStep Dental is proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Qurratulain (Ainy) Kamil, RDH, has been named one of Kingston’s 2026 40 Under 40 recipients. The recognition was presented in September 2026 as part of the Kingston Economic Development Corporation’s Young Professionals 40 Under 40, sponsored by Rockwell Commercial.
For our team, this award recognizes the work Ainy has put into making professional dental hygiene care easier to reach for people across Kingston and Ontario.
About the Kingston 40 Under 40
The Kingston 40 Under 40 celebrates young professionals who are making a difference in the community through leadership, innovation, professional achievement and community involvement.
Ainy was recognized alongside other young leaders from across the city at an evening event organized with Kingston Young Professionals and Invest Kingston.
The Work Behind the Recognition
Ainy co-founded DoorStep Dental in 2024 with Adam Beganyi, RDH. Both are Registered Dental Hygienists, and they started the company with one goal: bringing preventive dental hygiene care to people who find it hard to visit a traditional clinic.
Our team sees the work behind the title every day: early mornings, long days of home visits, meetings with care partners, and community outreach. That work includes:
- Turning a living room into a dental hygiene clinic in minutes with portable professional equipment, through our mobile dental hygienist services in Kingston.
- Bringing care to older adults at home and in residences with our mobile dental hygiene services for seniors.
- Providing on-site dental hygiene for organizations, including retirement homes, long-term care, community groups and workplaces.
- Supporting the community through events such as our dental hygiene clinic at the Kingston food bank.
Ainy has also shared her views on preventive oral health with local media, including our founders’ interview on YourTV Kingston and a feature in Kingstonist.
Part of a Year of Recognition for DoorStep Dental
The 40 Under 40 recognition adds to a strong year for DoorStep Dental in 2026:
- New Business of the Year 2026 at the Kingston Business Awards, presented by the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce.
- Community Impact Award 2026 at the Startup Growth Awards in Mississauga.
- A feature by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and a Kingston Spotlight feature on how our company started.
Each of these milestones reflects the trust of the patients, families and care partners who invite us into their homes and residences.
Thank You
We thank the Kingston Economic Development Corporation, Invest Kingston, Kingston Young Professionals and Rockwell Commercial for organizing the 40 Under 40 and for an evening that celebrated so many people working to make Kingston stronger.
Congratulations, Ainy. The whole DoorStep Dental team is proud of you.
