DoorStep Dental Inc has received the Community Impact Award at the Startup Growth Awards 2026. The award was presented on September 22, 2026, at the AGAZ Summit in Mississauga, Ontario.
For our patients and partners, this recognition reflects the problem DoorStep Dental was created to solve: many people need regular dental hygiene care but cannot easily get to a dental office.
Who Our Mobile Dental Hygiene Service Is For
DoorStep Dental brings professional dental hygiene care to the places where people live. Our services are designed for:
- Seniors living at home who find travel to appointments difficult or tiring
- Residents of retirement and long-term care residences, with care provided on site
- People with limited mobility or disabilities, and those recovering from surgery or illness
- Families and shift workers who need appointments outside regular office hours
- Rural and smaller communities with fewer nearby dental hygiene options

What a DoorStep Dental Visit Includes
Each appointment is provided by a Registered Dental Hygienist using portable professional equipment. A typical visit includes:
- A review of the patient’s dental and medical history
- An oral health assessment, explained in plain language
- Professional dental hygiene care based on the patient’s needs
- Personalized home-care advice for the patient and, where helpful, their caregiver
- Help completing dental insurance forms
We follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) guidelines and provide care in line with the standards of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO). Evening and weekend appointments are available. See our mobile dental hygiene services for more detail.
For Retirement Residences and Care Partners
We work with retirement residences, home-care organizations, and community groups to bring dental hygiene care on site. On-site visits reduce the need for residents to travel and make it easier for staff and families to keep oral care on schedule.

About Our Founders
DoorStep Dental was founded in 2024 by Qurratul Ain (Ainy), RDH, and Adam Beganyi. Before moving to Canada in 2019, Ainy practised dentistry in Karachi. She then retrained and registered as a dental hygienist in Ontario.
In clinical practice, she saw seniors, shift workers, and rural families go without routine dental care because they could not reach it. DoorStep Dental was built to close that gap by bringing the clinic to the patient.
Our Next Steps
Our goal is to reach more people who are currently underserved. Over the coming years, we plan to:
- Expand our services to more communities across Ontario
- Partner with public health units and community organizations
- Share our mobile care model so other communities can improve access to basic dental care
This award follows the 2026 New Business of the Year Award from the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce, which was recently recognized with a Certificate of Recognition from the Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands. DoorStep Dental was also featured by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
